Are you thinking about quitting your job? Before you do, there are a few things you should consider. Quitting without having a backup plan can be risky, so make sure you’re doing it for the right reasons.
You are not on an island by yourself if you feel one of these: Are you feeling stuck in your job? Like it’s not the right fit for you? A lot of people are in the same boat. But before you take the plunge and quit, there are a few things you should do first. Here are four things to do before you make the jump to quit your job.

    1. Take some time to think about why you want to quit. Is it because of the company, your boss, the hours, or the pay? Maybe it’s something else entirely. Knowing why you want to leave is important so you can be sure that whatever comes next is right for you.
Talk to your boss. Let them know that you’re considering leaving and see if there’s anything they can do to change your mind. Sometimes all it takes is a discussion to help resolve any issues you might be having.
Have a plan B ready . Quitting without a plan B in place is never a good idea. When things don’t go as planned, it can lead to serious money problems down the road. So have a backup plan ready in case things don’t work out like you hope they will.
Make sure quitting is the right decision . Sometimes we’re so eager to move on from our current situation that we don’t take the time to really evaluate whether or not quitting is the best thing for us. Before making any decisions, sit down and ask yourself if quitting is really what you want.
